About the Artwork
Kat Giordano’s oil paintings delve into the societal issues surrounding passive implicit violence and the entrapment experienced within suburbia. With a focus on the interplay of landscape as both a place and a non-place, Giordano illuminates manicured facades that define suburban spaces and explores the symbolic significance of fences as territorial markers.
