Biography
Katherine Giordano (b. 1996, Boston) is a visual artist investigating the reclamation of agency in political controversy. Katherine approaches these themes by observing government structures, the patriarchy, and use of the female form. Painting offers Katherine a visual platform to voice her concerns through the rendering of flesh, using ironic means of iconography and confronting compositions to welcome discourse regarding divisive topics. Katherine develops her work through fragmented photography and editing as an additional layering effect of the narratives she works around.
