Biography

Kat Giordano’s oil paintings delve into the societal issues surrounding passive implicit violence and the entrapment experienced within suburbia. With a focus on figuration and landscape as both a place and a non-place, Giordano illuminates manicured facades that define suburban spaces. Her examination of passive implicit violence prompts critical reassessment of established norms and power dynamics. Originally from a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts, she now resides in London after completing her undergraduate studies at Endicott College and earning her master's degree at Goldsmith University.
