About the Artist
Viktoryia Shydlouskaya Dijk (B.1992), a Belarus-born, Dutch artist working between Rotterdam and London. Viktoryia’s paintings explore the relationship between spatial perception and psychological awareness of the Self. Her work is vibrant and richly textured, creating immersive environments that evoke a directly felt sense of presence. Viktoryia approaches her medium and process with focus and intention, working within a process-driven practice. She uses pigment mixed with rabbit skin glue to craft her own paints, allowing for greater control over colour and viscosity, which deeply influences the emotional depth and immediate impact of her work.
