Biography
Prachi Gothi is a British Indian artist based in London, born and raised in Mumbai. She holds an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art & Design. Through layered, dreamlike landscapes, Gothi explores the space between the seen and the sensed. She is interested in the kind of attention that arises in quiet moments, when ordinary perception loosens its grip and the familiar becomes subtly strange. Her paintings invite viewers to linger in the threshold between what we see and what we sense, where inner and outer worlds briefly overlap. A recipient of the New Futures Prize from The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, Gothi has exhibited at the StART Martin Miller’s Gin Art Prize and StART Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery. Recent exhibitions include Dreamscape and The Watcher at J/M Gallery, presented by Gallery M Platform. Her work is held in private collections internationally, including the UK, Dubai, India and Australia.
