Bastian Ogel is a contemporary artist born in France in 1992. He lives and works in Paris. His painting, a hybrid of lived experiences and fantasy, transforms his observation of everyday life into a colourful, toxic and intriguing world. The artist transcribes onto his works all the intensity of the emotions he experiences in a swift gesture. The painting becomes the projection of spontaneous writing, conveyed onto the canvas with the intention of revealing our collective vulnerabilities. His characters are a complex alloy of himself and others. They are a hazy image, a blurry memory like a dream. A plural, shifting image that speaks and reveals to each person a fragile part of themselves.
