Biography

Alice Macdonald (b.1992, British) is a visual artist whose works are fascinated by the complexities of human behaviours, emotion and relationships. Alice's works are based on a diaristic practice of drawing from observation and memory. Her subjects, chosen instinctively, generally include friends, family, strangers, herself, and film stills. Often intimately portrayed, Alice is interested in her subject’s psychological state and innermost thoughts and feelings, but dichotomously fascinated by the impossibility of knowing what these really are. Alice lives and works in London, UK.
