Alan Silvestri (b.1996, Italy) explores through his practice images inspired from Venetian Schools of thought; from tonal painting to expressive and theatrical colour compositions. Alan process scenes taken from daily experience, as it happens in a child’s play where reality is perceived through imagination. The virtue of imagination overcomes a merely naturalist representation of reality. He reaches its mysterious and transcendental side through his paintings, while keeping strong ties with the represented object. Scenes from Alan's daily life assume new identities, becoming an element of a broader composition as the creative process unfolds. Alan lives and works in Urbino, Italy.
