Sensations

Henri Matisse, in his essay Notes of a Painter, stated that “knowledge of colours depends upon instinct and feeling, and on a constant analogy with sensations”. With this in mind, we are proud to feature for our latest auction a selection of paintings and sculptures whereby colour is harnessed through instinct and feeling, thereby interconnecting sensations.
