Biography

Cati Bestard (b.1982, Spain) is an artist who takes everyday architecture and features of the spaces she inhabits as a starting point for her works. Bestard uses photography and sculpture to explore links between physical, embodied space and its representation. She relates the immobility of architecture to that of other social constructs, such as gender. Cati Bestard currently lives and works between New York and Northampton (MA, USA).
