About the Artist
Megan Priestley (b. 1995, UK) is a British artist whose practice explores concepts of ambiguity projected through everyday experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Bournemouth. Her gestural mark-making and bright colour palettes reflect the intuitive process she experiences when creating her works, heightening the viewer's bodily energy and encouraging illusions of movement through her work. Megan lives and works in London, UK.
About the Artwork
This piece explores natural behaviour of paint as it responds to the surface, which doesn’t stop at the edges, it carries on without boundaries onto the wall. The strokes explore every surface treating each the same. I paint within the unconscious mind and enjoy painting without having a clear outcome. Colour was the driving force and expressing my joyful personality.
