About the Artist

Juno Shen (b.1994, China) is a New York based artist who primarily explores the ways in which light permeates through every element of the human experience. Shen's works take the form of neon sculpture, virtual reality and interactive installation to showcase the complex and continually evolving relationship modern humans have with light. The elasticity of mythology and the process of mythologizing things is another common theme in Shen’s work. She often recontextualizes and reinterprets ancient symbols, architectural forms and beliefs as she explores the construction of myths and the role they play in modern society.
