About the Artist
Megan Priestley (b. 1995, UK) is a British artist whose practice explores concepts of ambiguity projected through everyday experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Bournemouth. Her gestural mark-making and bright colour palettes reflect the intuitive process she experiences when creating her works, heightening the viewer's bodily energy and encouraging illusions of movement through her work. Megan lives and works in London, UK.
About the Artwork
‘Jackson’ is a recreation of a bigger picture, exploring the spatial illusion and shifting forms within the space which breaks any stability giving the impression that everything may slide of at any point. Megan Priestley enjoys giving a painting a new identity and responding to what viewers can see within it.
