About the Artist

Kristina Supernova (b.1989, Lithuania) is a visual artist whose work ranges mainly from painting to illustration, murals, sculpture and wearable art. Lately extended with video, installations, performance art, poetry, art books and animation. Most recently Supernova is abandoning the concrete narrative motif and starts creating expressive, large or small format oil paintings and ink drawings series in which echoes of the mythologyical fable worlds can be found, as well as a preoccupation with human existence where she turns the inside out. Colors and lines are her own codes and formulas for all kind of feelings, that humans, animals and even plants are capable to experience. Kristina lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

About the Artwork

Since day one, when I saw a birdie flying all above the trees, roofs, lakes, flower fields, it began to develop into one genuine wish… To be a bird myself and fly through with the wind with my freedom. Somewhere in another parallel universe, I know I’m living it.
