About the Artist
Agnieszka Katz Barlow (b. 1978, Sweden) is a contemporary visual artist whose vivid geometry and gestural abstractions explore ambivalent spaces and anarchic identities. Her works play as a balancing act of paradoxes, at once figurative, abstract, sensual and dark, violent and playful, masculine and feminine. Her interest regard visual intellect and in playfully composing ideas that are very specifically her own, coming from an internal digested pulp. The narratives and spaces Agnieszka creates are fictions that originate from, and can only exist within the language of painting. Agnieszka lives and works in London, UK.
