About the Artist
Anne Russinof (b. 1956, USA) is a contemporary American artist whose work features forms that have come away from the edge of the canvas to float on their own. They are objects both known and unknown to Anne, having occurred spontaneously and freed from some former constriction. Her gestural brushwork expresses themselves as flying entities, weightless while respectively being held in their own atmospheres. Painted wet-on-wet, Anne's work has always been about gesture and figuration alluding to the body and the need to take a stand in the swirling space around us. Anne lives and works in New York, USA.
