Wang Buke (b.1984, China) primarily explores through his practice materials originating from existing imagery and words, reflecting both the artist’s distanced reaction, but also an active collection of information encountered in his life. This artistic collection covers photographs of daily life, images from commercial products, and resources found through other mediums, for example including readings, music, film and sport, etc. The artist modifies these materials using different methods of extracting, editing, redefining, and ways of interacting between these individuals to form a unique sense of space, which is created alongside ambiguous story scenes and tentative narrative lines. Wang lives and works in Beijing, China.
