Biography
Sondos Azzam (b.1997, Jordan) is a contemporary visual artists whose practice explores the role of food as both an enabler and
a means of communication through sculptural and chaotic
forms, challenging our relationship with a table. Food can be politically, socially and culturally charged. This aims to distort our familiarity with the everyday rituals involved in the kitchen, from food preparation down to the mess left after a meal. This is expressed visually through photography involving modes of experimentation around a table and with food. Sondos lives and works in Dubai, UAE.
