Biography

Ross Head (b.1984, UK) is a visual artist whose practice is primarily concerned with the lives of queer people and the ways in which we exist in the world, both now and throughout history. Their multi-disciplinary practice seeks to interrogate and address the presentation of the male figure in art, mainstream media and popular culture, frequently referencing contemporary erotic magazines, as well historic examples from the early 20th century to illustrate the different periods of the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Ross' work seeks to foreground these histories, creating a platform where queerness is celebrated. Ross lives and works in London, UK.
