Biography

Richard Phoenix (b.1981, UK) is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores mediums from painting, drawing, writing, interaction and music to learn about how people can be together. Richard has worked within learning disability arts since 2006 as a facilitator, collaborator and project co-ordinator. This work has had a huge influence on his artistic practice, painting being a primary way for Richard to process the social and political nuances of care and support encountered. It also informs his interest in how accessibility and inclusion can improve things for all. Richard lives and works in Croydon, UK.
