Biography

Nujood Al Otaibi (b.1988, Saudi Arabia) is a hyper realism artist. Her work represents how she sees and hears the world through her lense.
She has impairment to sensory capabilities and experiments light, color and space to explore new ways to describe her feelings through art. Nujood’s practice consists of a mix of mediums but her strong pursuit is oil on canvas and charcoal. She notices human interaction and depicts how the society reacts to situations in her art. Recently, Nujood has started to explore color therapy and it's implications on human feelings. Nujood lives and works in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
