Biography
Ling Lin (b. 1994, China) reimagines the possibilities of traditional Chinese landscape painting and its Taoist foundations. She interprets the genre's aesthetics with an innovative range of mediums, using palette knives and oil paint to simulate the varied textures of nature. Lin’s investigation of these thematic and formal possibilities surpasses her canvas surfaces: delving into the traditional Chinese landscape genre, she analyzes her own roots, exploring her personal and cultural identity.
