Biography
Laila Ho (b.1999, Hong Kong) is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on the humanity-animality of the 21st century. Her works range from creating works for/ from cats, to observing the animality in other living creatures, whether it be human or non-human. DOOT comes from Ho’s recent drawing series “July 2022 Studio Clearance”, an album showcasing daily observations made in Hong Kong during the pandemic, made with confusion, angst and anxiety towards the future of the city. Ho lives and works in the United Kingdom.
