Biography

Kidd Murray (b.1994, Scotland) is a visual artist whose work explores themes of consumerism and materialism, and depicts a world which has been dominated by both, rendering it obsolete. These imagined places depicted within their works are adorned with diamantés, vibrant colours and manicured landscapes, a nod to materialism and impractical beauty standards. An inhabitant of this world, the worm, can be seen feeding off of vivacious fruit and plants, and struggling to find its place in a superficial, dysfunctional world that has only one agenda - beauty.
