Joshua Kerley (b. 1988, UK) is a British artist, designer, and educator specialising in kiln-glass. A recent graduate from the Royal College of Art, Joshua’s practice is characterised by an experimental and progressive engagement with materials and process. Through playful and inquisitive engagement with materials and process, Joshua aims to reassess traditional perceptions of glass making; technically, aesthetically and materially. By exploring the transformative power and metamorphic capabilities of glass, he references the physical characteristics of other, often lower-value, materials – thereby challenging the orthodoxies of material hierarchy through his practice. Joshua lives and works in London, UK.
