Biography

Jamie Kirk (b.1995, UK) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the complexity of interwoven shapes and forms across multiple layers. With an imprecise visual goal in mind, Jamie allows the work to partially dictate itself, employing unbiased mark making which frequently cascades into a series of tangents akin to the thoughts that inspire it. By constricting the fluidity of the paint within the harsh confines of predetermined silhouettes, jarring focal points and chaotic flourishes vie for attention amidst controlled moments of understated sparsity.
Jamie lives and works in Cheshire.
