Hira Gedikoglu (b.1994, Turkey) works in series and each project is a continuation and further exploration of the last, often in a different visual medium. Her recent works are an amalgamation of characters and locations taken from Ottoman and Renaissance paintings combined with her photographs taken in Istanbul. Drawing from observation is a consistent and fundamental part of her practice and often the starting point of her visual curiosity. Hira lives and works in Hampshire, UK.
