Cristóbal Schmal (b.1977, Chile) is a visual artist whose latest collage series are inspired by his roots, tracing lines across varying ancient Andean cultures as Inca dynasty, Tihuanaco and Aymaras. Cristóbal explores through his practice their concept of time, life and death,  reinterpreting signs and rituals of faith, forces of nature, fragility of human life and to death. Cristóbal lives and works in Otzberg, Germany.
