Biography

Antonio Parker-Rees (b.1997, UK) is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice is concerned with the functioning of imagery within digital economies. Antonio's works hope to bring about the slow from the fast and the weird from the ordinary. Imagery such as photographs of shopfronts and found advertising posters often become points of departure in his work as he utilises painting strategies to intervene and dismantle their immediacy. His work deals with themes of attention, desire and hastened temporalities, along with the systems which take stake in their fruition. Antonio lives and works in London, UK.
