Annalisa Avancini (b.1973, Italy) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice predominantly explores figuration and people. Her artistic interests range from architecture and design to painting. Annalisa is influenced by both photographers and artists in the pictorial field, including Avedon, Lindberg, Roversi, Lucian Freud and Loulouse-Lautrec. Coming from the world of fashion, Annalisa paints fabrics, paying particular attention to the choice of link between textile, background and body so that the composition rotates and vibrates to enhance the expression of the face. The intention is to capture the expressive potential of facial language and attitudes, so as to bring out the most intimate and psychological part of the subject. Annalisa lives and works in Trento, Italy.
